Peterloo's
publishing schedule is already in place for the next three years.
We therefore request poets not to send in their manuscripts. A good
way to get noticed, with a view to future publication, is to enter
our competition, or indeed reputable poetry competitions in general.
Many previous
prize-winners in our competition have gone on to have their first
volumes published by Peterloo.
(Beware of vanity press publishers masquerading as competitions,
however.) Poets with an established track record i.e. publication
in poetry magazines, etc., who feel ready to submit a collection
should write an introductory letter to Harry Chambers in the first
instance.
Peterloo
does not offer a criticism service. If you would like an assessment
of your poetry, it's a good idea to attend workshops run by established
poets (as, for instance, the Arvon Foundation offer). Another method
is to use the Poetry Society who will, for a fee, arrange a professional
critique of your work.
